As every year, the last weekend of holidays is a period of hard work of police officers. This year, dozens of reflective uniforms guarded the safety of travelers. During the past weekend, on the roads of our podia, there were 2 road accidents and 7 collisions.

Police officers pointed out the offenses committed by managers directly affecting the state of safety on roads such as excessive speed, not giving priority to passing, incorrect behavior of pedestrians towards pedestrians, riding without fastened seat belts, or transporting children without using car seats. The police officers in safety vest also checked the technical condition of the vehicles and the state of sobriety. Uniforms prevented the ride of five such drivers whom blown out from 0.85 to 2.74 per block of alcohol.

During three days of operation, the police recorded 7 road collisions, of which two caused drunken driving. One of the drivers stopped riding a Volkswagen golf course hit a roadside tree. In addition to the fact that the 36-year-old had over 2.5 per cent of alcohol in his body, he broke the court ban on driving vehicles. In addition, officers worked on two road accidents. The first of them took place on Kolchak had forced the passing of a 19-year-old riding a golf course and caused a collision. A 19-year-old resident of the commune with head and neck trauma went to the hospital, where he was observed. The drivers were sober.

The second incident occurred on Sunday around 19 in Maria. There is a 19-year-old cyclist while overtaking, drove between two other cyclists and caused a collision. Because of the accident, the 22-year-old also riding a two-wheeled vehicle suffered a tailbone fracture.

Police officers remind us that road safety depends largely on ourselves, on our driving culture, our well-developed imagination and prediction. All detained drunk drivers will now be brought to court for drunk driving. The driving of a motor vehicle in the state of intoxication is punishable by up to 2 years imprisonment. One of them will answer in addition for breaking the court ban. He is threatened with up to 5 years in prison.
